Her 1st day of daycare

November 30th, 2009

I dropped her off for her 1st day, and I think it was harder for me than her! They said she’s already playing with the other kids, participating and even eating…broccoli too!

OCD

October 19th, 2009

Olivia’s been enjoying buckles for a while now, but last month she finally got them to close properly.

We went to the park and here she played with buckle over and over. I thought there were more fun things to play with at the park than the buckle, but maybe not

Playing with the buckle was so much fun at the park that she wanted to play with the buckle on her highchair too. She hasn’t yet figured out how to undo the buckle. She only knows how to clasp it (thank goodness), but that means someone has to unlock before she can lock it again. When she first learned how to do this (as in the clip) she would do this for 30-40 mins at a time!

Fake cry

September 29th, 2009

Turns out Olivia can fake cry, though her whining is for real. Anyway, i asked her to cry while she was admiring herself in the mirror. (Oh, her right pant leg is up bc she just came back from riding her bike – haha)

Hugs

She tried giving Eliza a hug, but Eliza was trying to run away from her.

An afternoon with Uncle Romeo and Uncle Bryce

August 24th, 2009

I took her swimming in their pool, which she doesn’t always enjoy but it’s something different. She met Bryce’s teddy bear from his childhood, Mr. Rupert, then had guacamole and chips at Cesar’s then ended the night with more avocado, most of which ended up on her face and tray:

She tried hamming it up (I think in an attempt to get out of the stroller) by showing off her “pretty eyes.” My mom taught her that. I guess she taught me the same thing when I was little, and I would squint my eyes. Olivia has her own version and she just blinks really hard.
